Report from 4th July Meeting

Sorry this is a bit late but between family visiting from abroad and a bad virus, I apologise for lateness.

Roxanne from Hannah’s Room was our Speaker for this month. Hannah’s Room specialises in Batik fabrics and is UK’s leading batik specialist since 1999. They only stock Indonesian Batik fabrics.

Roxanne began talk with a short film showing some aspects of how the fabric is made. This was very interesting. She went on to speak at some length about the fabric and showed some examples of her work of her own design from Batiks.

Before I show photographs of the examples here are some from our own Show and Tell.

D has made this bag from strips of batik which she purchased at Malvern Show.

Sheila has made these two lovely bags.

This quilt was made by Janet from The Corner Patch.

Chris Franses made this lovely quilt which will be raffled on behalf of Autistic Society and will be raffled at a show in November at Eccleshall Church. Tickets will be available on the day and can also be purchased at The Corner Patch.

Now for some photos of a Roxanne’s work.

There were a few other examples but the talk was so interesting I forgot to take any more photos.

Thank you Roxanne for a most interesting and informative talk. It was super.

Next is a photo a Margaret and Cath at their table selling magazines for good causes.
